Anisa Mazimpaka
Anisa Mazimpaka is a social entrepreneur, communicator and strategist with a track
record of over a decade experience in youth governance, youth leadership
development, institutionalre form through policy advocacy and stakeholder strategy. Her work sits at the intersection of education, governance and socio-economic inclusion focusing on advancing social justice through education.
She has held senior roles within the City of Johannesburg working closely within
executive political offices including serving as the youngest Director in the Office of the Executive Mayor,where she led stakeholder engagement and cross-sector coordination.
Introduction
As a former Student President at the University of Johannesburg,she contributed to one of the institution’s most impactful fundraising initiatives, mobilising over R100 million together with theinstitution to support financially excluded students.
She has been recognised nationally and continentally,including Mail & Guardian’s Top 200 Young South Africans 2022 and the She Leads Africa’s Top 50 Rising Motherland Moguls 2023.
In 2019, Anisa became, and remains, the first female to winner of One Day Leader SA (Season 7) which is a 13-week flagship leadership reality debate show. In the same year, Anisa was invited to contribute as a panelist for the Presidential pre-SONA Youth Dialogue alongside the State President,Cyril Ramaphosa.
Through the Anisa Mazimpaka Foundation, she is building a scalable leadership and education pipeline aimed at developing a network of socially conscious African leaders and advancing long-term national transformation
